<p>Jonathan Cohen (Meres One) has taken a 5-story, dilapidated factory building in Long Island City, NY and is converting it into a Graffiti Museum called <a title="5 Pointz" href="http://5ptz.com/graff/about/" target="_blank">5 Pointz</a>. <p><a href="http://www.nytimes.com/indexes/2007/12/02/style/t/index.html#pageName=Home" title="New York Times Style Magazine" target="_blank">T Magazine</a>, aka New York Times Style Magazine, finally has a look that matches its content: fashion and style. It&#8217;s full of juicy images against a stark white backdrop. It&#8217;s a pretty flashy (no pun intended) site, with left to right navigation as opposed to top to bottom. My eyes start to cross a little bit with the motion though, especially the never ending ticker tape of their new blog &#8220;the moment&#8221; at the bottom of the page. I end up closing my page down to a small size just to get rid of that.</p>

The conflict resides in a pursuit of the authentic. While we continue to pursue sustainability in our work, a hungry mass-market favors consumption and we struggle with business models that sometimes beg for the newest rather than the greatest. MUJI has continued to define a model that I envy. Products that speak for themselves! They never put MUJI on the products or publicise the often noteworthy designers. Simple, rational, honest design that you need to want&#8230;look out <a href="http://www.ikea.com/us/en/">IKEA</a>.</p>
