Dollar Rede$ign Project
October 8, 2010
“The Dollar ReDe$ign Project hopes to bring about change for everyone. We want to rebrand the US Dollar, rebuild financial confidence and revive our failing economy. ”
So says the about us section of this website.

It seems they touched a nerve. There were lots of contest entries, and they are really fun to review! Makes me actually want to see some color on our sad monochromatic wild wild west moneys.
The winning redesign got 7,380 votes! and second place still got a whopping 4,688 votes! It ain’t American Idol numbers, but it’s pretty darn good.
As a graphic design project, it seems pretty fun too. I bet a lot of graphic design programs will add this project into their curriculum next year…

I like the idea of Redesigning the different denominations of the dollar bill, and i like the designs that appear on this web page. The only one the I really do not like, approve is the obama bill, sorry nothing personal but i don’t think he deserves this recognition.

Agreed….trying to get to gmail LOL…also very dissapointed to see the Obama $1 bill. Those spots should be reserved for US presidents such as Lincoln, Adams, etc. The color and stuff looks cool though
