New Years Revolution…buy local?

Date December 29, 2009

I often say if you found out your local ‘favorite’ was closing people would flock there. As a ‘local’ business hoping to be a ‘favorite’ how do you convert this love into attendance. The language of The 3/50 Project really resonates with this struggle and communicates the idea without being combative with larger national business. The Elephant is loved but its always great to see him jump to the little mouse. Don’t sell out, buy in, en 2010!

As you stated, I made it to your site by mistyping. But I am glad I did, especially since I live in Apex! I had not seen the 3/50, but for years I have always tried as much as possible to shop locally. Before the trend to eat local produce became popular, I was going to the Farmer’s Market to support farmers. I love the atmosphere of the little “hole in the wall” type shops where they remember the face, if not the name. This was a pleasant diversion from my online homework I’m suppose to be doing for my college classes. I’m online, but keeping it local – Wake Tech.
