Cooliris makes surfing more surfy

Date October 19, 2008

Cool Iris is a new plugin for Safari and Firefox that has reinvented the way to get information from the web. It’s reminiscent of Mac’s CoverFlow interface, but more like an infinite wall than a flip book. Cool Iris lets you pan across images – each of which represent videos or stories.

Select one by clicking on it and it zooms in and gives you a quick synopsis of the link.

From there you can jump into a standard web page. A little tool/button in the top bar lets you jump back and forth into the standard view. But the interface is so beautiful and hypnotizing it’s hard to go back…

Stumble it!

I got here by misspelling gmail, but I figured I might as well check it out. I love it! Keep up the good work!
